Pulse Energy is committed to helping reduce New Zealand's carbon footprint and offering customers a reliable and affordable source of energy.  We support energy generation which is renewable and sustainable - helping to preserve New Zealand's beautiful environment.

We encourage our customers to shift electricity use to off-peak times through time-of-use Smart Meter technology.  During these times, electricity is more likely to be generated from renewable sources such as geothermal and hydro. During peak times electricity is generated from our least environmentally friendly options such as diesel, coal and gas fired power stations. 

As New Zealand's population and industry grows, so too does our demand for electricity energy.  Small changes to habits can assist in reducing overall demand at peak times as well as supporting the most environmentally friendly sources of electricity generation.
