Hearing in Classrooms

Wellington, New Zealand 

“Funding will help Hearing Wellington expand its work in schools by supporting the early identification of children experiencing hearing loss, auditory processing difficulties, or temporary hearing challenges. The grant will also help provide practical hearing-accessibility solutions, including Auracast Bluetooth technology that delivers a teacher’s voice more clearly to students.”

Horowhenua Butterfly Pathway

Horowhenua, New Zealand 

“This grant will help bring the Horowhenua Butterfly Pathway project from planning into action, creating a peaceful and inclusive space for reflection, remembrance, and healing. Funding will support the development of a calm community space designed to provide comfort and connection for local whānau, while also helping build awareness and encourage further community support for the project.”

Elderly Balance and Strength Classes

Rotorua, New Zealand 

“This grant will support Cornerstone Charitable Trust’s elderly strength and balance classes, helping keep sessions affordable and accessible for older adults in the community. Funding will contribute to the ongoing delivery of the programme, including equipment, maintenance, and subsidised class costs, while helping participants improve mobility, build confidence, reduce the risk of falls, and maintain important social connections.”

Project Eligibility Information

What kind of projects are eligible?

To be eligible for Pulse Energy’s Powering Your Community Fund your project must:

  • Be associated with education, innovation, charity, sports or hobbies.
  • Be a not-for-profit club, school or local project that is based in New Zealand.
  • Be submitted by an applicant who is 18 years or older.
  • Recipients must provide a photo(s) to Pulse Energy that represents their organisation. The recipient gives permission to Pulse Energy to use this photo for promotional use.

Who can apply for the Powering Your Community grant?

Anyone is eligible to apply on behalf of their nominated organisation if;

  • They are over the age of 18, and;
  • The organisation fits the eligibility criteria, and;
  • The applicant has the right to submit the application on behalf of the organisation.

Do I have to be a Pulse Energy customer?

No, you do not need to be a Pulse Energy customer. Anyone in New Zealand is welcome to submit an application.
